Wayne Vanderhoof CSP

Wayne has more than thirty years in safety and health experience holding progressive positions. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University in Alabama, is nationally recognized as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).

Manufacturing

Wayne Vanderhoof has twelve years of experience in manufacturing including the design, fabrication, and installation of process equipment for petrochemical plants along with experience in civil, structural, mechanical, and architectural design. For the past twelve years, he has provided safety consulting services to manufacturing clients including wire manufacturers, machining/fabrication operations, steel mills, warehouses, assembly plants, trucking, and similar operations.

Plastics

Wayne Vanderhoof has twelve years of direct experience in the plastics industry in the designing, fabrication, and installation of polyurethane (PU) processing/molding equipment and PU chemical loading/unloading/storage equipment. He has experience as a laborer, machine operator, and quality assurance technician in the compounding of virgin and recycled polypropylene (PP) then moved into positions as Safety & Training Coordinator for the same compounding company. Mr. Vanderhoof is an active member of the Plastics Industry - Machinery Safety Standards Working Groups on the ANSI/PLASTICS B151-series of standards.

 Oil & Gas

Wayne Vanderhoof has twelve years of safety experience with the oil & gas industry in the Appalachian Basin providing safety consulting services to Operators/Leaseholders and service companies in the upstream and midstream sectors including site preparation, drilling, stimulation, flowback, and production. Mr. Vanderhoof is an active voting member involved with national safety standards for Hydrogen Sulfide Training and Flash Fire Risk Assessments. Wayne is an Adjunct Instructor at the OSHA Training Institute Education Center/National Resource Center at West Virginia University (WVU) for OSHA classes and specific oil & gas industry safety training.

Construction

Wayne Vanderhoof has more than ten years of experience providing safety consulting services to companies in the construction industry to include steel mills, coal-fired electric generation plants, natural gas pipelines, other underground utilities, working with iron workers, laborers, equipment operators, carpenters, electricians, and similar operations. Wayne is actively involved in developing national safety standards including the construction industry ANSI, BSR/ASSP A10.50 for Heat Stress Management standard (future).
