In an October 11, 2020 News Release, The US Department of Labor announced that OSHA had proposed penalties in excess of $900,000.00 in Coronavirus pandemic-related violations from the start of the pandemic through October 1, 2020. OSHA had cited over sixty establishments for violations for failure to:
- Implement a written respiratory protection program
- Provide a medical evaluation, respirator fit test, training on the proper use of a respirator and personal protective equipment
- Report an injury, illness, or fatality
- Record an injury or illness on OSHA recordkeeping forms
- Comply with the General Duty Clause
